The Wonder Stuff & Salvation added for Leeds; Brixton sold out

The Mission’s Brixton 02 Academy show on 22nd Oct is now officially sold out so it is with huge pleasure that we can announce that The Wonder Stuff have been confirmed as very special guests for The Mission’s  25th Anniversary show at Leeds 02 Academy on Friday 28th October!

The two bands toured together quite extensively back in the late 80’s and early 90’s both in Europe and in the USA and Wayne Hussey and the Wonder Stuff’s Miles Hunt have long since been the best of friends and have also toured both the USA and Europe together as solo artists in the last few years. Miles and Erica Nockalls (the Wonder Stuff’s violin player) also guested with The Mission on the last night of the Shepherd Bush shows in 2008 as well as guesting with Wayne (along with Simon Hinkler) when he headlined last year’s Whitby Goth Festival.

The Leeds show does indeed promise to be a splendid occasion and to add to the festivities we can also delightedly tell you that Salvation will also be appearing. Salvation are a Leeds based band that Wayne produced a single for (Jessica’s Crime) as well as playing quite a few shows with The Mission in the mid 80’s and this will, apparently, be their first show in quite some time.
