As well as the regular paperback version of my autobiography - Salad Daze - Omnibus Press are also releasing a strictly limited boxed edition.

This includes: an especially designed box housing a limited edition signed hardback copy of the book (the hardback is NOT available separately), an exclusive 7 inch vinyl single featuring two of my demos from 1980 and an exclusive branded memory stick on which there are an additional nine songs from the same two demo sessions with spoken word intros from me plus an archive of a whole load of photographs that didn't make it into the book proper personally curated and captioned by me, a certificate of authentication - and three (3) of the boxed limited editions will include a 'golden ticket'. The first person to claim their prize will win my first ever guitar, a Spanish acoustic on which I wrote my first ever songs, bought in Andorra on a family holiday in the early 70s, an episode which is chronicled in the book. It's been in my mum & dad's attic for over 40 years, recently unearthed during a clean-out. It is now unplayable but rather than leave it for the bin-men I thought there might be somebody out there that might like to give it a good home. The guitar is signed. The second prizes (2 of 'em) are a set of two photographic prints of me - lucky you - on high-grade art paper. What more could you ask for?

Of course, both versions of the book will no doubt be available from Amazon and other online shops as well as your typical high-street book stores, I would hope. If you do decide to buy the book itโ€™s obviously up to you where you do so, but if your conscience dictates that the not-quite starving and destitute author should be receiving the lionโ€™s share of the profits then can I please point you in the direction of the new Mission online store here? https://themission.bigcartel.com

Do you need more incentive? Can I tempt you with more free music? Recently exhumed demos from boxes and boxes Iโ€™ve been sifting through of old cassettes that have been in storage for decades? With each pre-sale order โ€” the normal paper-back version or the deluxe hardback limited edition - from our newly refurbished official The Mission online merchandise store you will receive an additional four pieces of music, absolutely free and absolutely exclusively, including embryonic versions of later Mission classics Severina & Dance On Glass. Thereโ€™s also a spoken word intro for the book and a more detailed narrated explanation of where the newly recovered music came from. You want yet more? You are demanding, arenโ€™t you? Also for those that pre-order the book directly from us you will receive a limited edition especially designed laminated โ€˜Wayne Hussey - Salad Dazeโ€™ bookmark. Wowee! That is something. Personally, I like my bookmarks, I currently use an old Bob Dylan concert ticket. Itโ€™s time for a change, I reckon.

There are also a couple of new book-related T-shirts available as well as screen printed posters of the book cover. If Liverpool FC reach the Champions League final again then a few of them may well be signed by yours truly. If Liverpool also wins the Premier League title I shall deliver them personally to you. (Only joking - please donโ€™t hold me to that, and, anyway, I know there's some that would say there's no chance of that happening - we shall see, shan't we?). And over the course of the next few weeks and months, thereโ€™ll be new items added to our store including a new line of Mission silver jewellery, new Mission T-shirts, and VIP soundcheck tickets for my upcoming solo tour. So check back every now and then, okay? You wonโ€™t want to miss outโ€ฆโ€ฆSo visit https://themission.bigcartel.com now!
